New England

New England has always been my favorite region of the country. I love the mix of big cities and rural areas. I love the I can explore the rich history of a city one minute and then be at a beautiful preserve or beach later in the day. I love the architecture, haunted history, and gorgeous biking trails and hiking reservations. Most of all, I love the diverse 4 season climate where the winters feel like Narnia and summers are perfect for outdoor recreation.

Massachusetts

I loved every minute of living in Massachusetts, from exploring historic sites in downtown Boston, to taking daytrips to haunted towns like Salem and whale watching in Plymouth, to enjoying all the great rail trails and preserves throughout the state. It's my favorite state in the New England region as no one else offers the same mix of history and nature.

Rhode Island

I loved exploring all the charming coastal towns like Newport and Narragansett, dining at fabulous Italian restaurants in Providence's historic Federal Hill neighborhood, and enjoying the state's wonderful beaches and preserves.

New Hampshire

I loved hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and I also loved planning daytrips here to enjoy the Narnia-like snowy landscapes. One of my favorite winter destinations anywhere is Nestlenook Farms where you can take old-fashioned sleigh ride and skate on a Victorian ice rink straight out of a Hallmark movie.

Connecticut

While this state is more well known for being home to prestigious Yale University and ritzy communities, I vacationed here mostly to enjoy the beautiful beaches, covered bridges, and low-key state parks. East Lyme offer peaceful beaches and an attractive small town "Gilmore Girls aesthetic."
