Beaches

Living in several East Coast states and California for several years, I had easy access to some of the country's best beaches. From the white sand beaches of Florida's Gulf Coast, to the low-key beaches of Lake Erie, to the beautiful Pacific Coast beaches of California, there is a gorgeous beach accessible via a roadtrip pretty much everywhere in the country.

East Coast beaches

I had access to some gorgeous beaches in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island during my years living in the Boston metro. There are some underrated low-key gems to enjoy here despite it only being hot enough to enjoy the water for a few months. Living in Tampa Bay, I got to enjoy the softest white sand nearly every weekend. In the East, you will also find gorgeous beaches in the Carolinas including the 60 mile uninterrupted shoreline known as "The Grand Strand." And, in the Midwest, you will find over 800 miles of Lake Erie shoreline to enjoy.

West Coast beaches

From the lively boardwalks of southern California, to the rocky rugged beaches of Washington, the Pacific Ocean changes in both temp and landscape as you move further up the coast. One of my favorite experience thus far was driving the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway from SoCal up to the redwood forests.
