Attraction of the Week: The Eiffel Tower Experience in Vegas

One of the hottest tourist attractions in Vegas nowadays is the Linq High Roller, which at 550 feet tall, stands as the world’s tallest observation wheel. Not surprisingly, this popular Strip attraction offers the top views in town, albeit at a high $40+ per person price tag! A cheaper alternative which offers just as fabulous views is the classic Eiffel Tower Experience, where you will take a glass elevator up the famous replica to an observation deck 460 feet in the sky. From way up here, you will be surrounded by 360 degree views of the fabulous Las Vegas Strip.
I didn’t know what to expect as a lot of people I know mentioned it was a tourist trap, but I was pleased with the entire experience. Not only were the views beautiful, but the experience of going up the glass elevator is pretty cool as well. It’s one for the Vegas bucket list for sure especially if you appreciate a great viewpoint!

You can’t beat the views at sunset!
Once you arrive on deck, stunning bird’s eye views of the glizy resorts surround you in every direction. The best perk of all is the one-of-a-kind front row view of the fabulous Bellagio Fountain show. Because the show runs every half hour, you will never have to wait long to see a show, no matter when you plan your visit!
The best time to plan your visit is just prior to sunset, where you will be treated to gorgeous views of the sun setting over the Nevada mountains. What a breathtaking sight!

If you time your visit accordingly, just 15 or so minutes later, you can enjoy the dazzling nighttime scenery. Although the observing area is all caged in, there are numerous little slots where you can squeeze in your camera for some pretty good pictures! It’s pretty cool to observe all the craziness from so high up in the sky. Somehow, everything seems so much more peaceful 46 stories up!

One of the best non gaming attractions
Today, there is so much more to do besides gambling in Sin City. I am not a gambler so I visit for the great restaurants and shows. This is one of my favorite attractions in the city because you get to observe all the pretty lights and action from above. The great thing about Vegas is that you can feel touristy without much effort – there is something to do inside every single casino resort. No need to waste a bunch of money playing the slots where there are so many affordable things to do.
Compared to the pricey Linq night tickets, this experience starts at just $25. And, discount tickets are almost always available at Tix 4 Tonite ($11 per person give or take) as well as Groupon (2 for 1 deals).
Besides the affordability, this attraction has many other benefits, namely that you can leave whenever you feel like it by simply taking an elevator down as opposed to waiting for the entire Linq cycle (about 40 minutes). As the deck only holds so many people, overcrowding is never a problem.
In terms of relaxing and/or romantic things to do on The Strip, I would rate this pretty high up. It’s a great date night destination especially when paired with dinner at the amazing restaurant. Even when surrounded by so many tourists, it’s still a romantic experience. We lucked out on a really slow day and enjoyed much of the observing area to ourselves but I am sure this not the norm. You really feel as if you are on top of the world when towering so high above all the massive casinos!
The Eiffel Tower Restaurant: The perfect date night choice
For a truly memorable night out, I recommend reservations for dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. Conveniently, it’s located right on-site so you don’t have to search around for somewhere to eat. This gorgeous French restaurant located on the 11th floor of the Paris hotel offers one of the most stunning viewpoints.
With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking all the resorts, a central location, and direct views of the Bellagio fountains, there really is no better choice for a date or celebratory occasion. And the food and service are pretty darn good too! We visited for brunch, however, family members tell me that dinner is an extraordinary experience. Maybe for an anniversary trip one year!
We lucked out on our first brunch visit for our anniversary and had pretty much the entire restaurant to ourselves. We scored a beautiful window seat with a front row seat to the Bellagio fountain show.

Pricing is a bit high, but this is a nice place for any celebratory occasion. They serve both brunch and dinner so the choice is up to you on what type of views and food you are seeking. Recent brunch highlights include: French Toast a la Creme Brulee, Lobster Eggs Benedict, and Avocado Toast with poached eggs and multigrain toast. Dinner is a bit more elegant with everything from caviar, to seafood, to free range chicken breast on the lineup. They offer a few vegetarian selections which is nice.

In terms of low-key and romantic activities on The Strip, I would say breakfast or dinner at this fabulous restaurant followed by a glass elevator ride up this replica is about as good as it gets. The gorgeous Eiffel Tower replica is just one of many attractions that proves man-made wonders can be just as magnificent as natural wonders! I love just walking around taking it all in, day or night.

Fun Facts about the replica
- The replica is half the size of the original (540 feet tall).
- It was supposed to be full size, however, that would have interfered with nearby McCarran airport, and thus, the replica was only made half scale.
- The Vegas replica opened in 1999 – 110 years after the Paris original.
- French actress Catherine Deneuve illuminated the tower during the opening ceremony.
- The Eiffel Tower is a Vegas hotspot for proposals and weddings.

Where to stay?
The Paris resort is actually a great mid price option. It’s one of my favorite properties because it is affordable and within walking distance of most major attractions. I really love the pool here with the tower view in the background.
There are a lot of great restaurants on-site including one of my favorites in the city, Mon Ami Gabi. This people watching hotspot offers a great patio and delicious brunch fare. Another one of my favorite date destinations. Also, there are a few treat shops where you can enjoy French pastries and macaroons.
