Plymouth is one of many beautiful small towns along the coastline in Massachusetts. This town is rich in historical significance and natural beauty. Whether you are a history buff or photographer, you should appreciate the diverse range of activities and ample sightseeing opportunities. Most notably, Plymouth is home to Pilgrim Memorial State Park, one of the nation’s most visited parks. This waterfront park is a living piece of history, home to numerous exciting attractions including the Mayflower II Museum, Plymouth Rock, and a Mayflower replica. The views are gorgeous and there are many local restaurants which offer patio dining overlooking the water. Living in nearby Fall River, Mike and I enjoyed many convenient daytrips to this beautiful historical city.
During a 4 hour afternoon whale watching cruise, Mike and I were able to catch stunning photographs, not only of whales, but also beautiful islands, lighthouses, landmarks, and water views. This was one of the more beautiful cruises we have taken and seeing magnificent whales up close was such an exciting experience. As the only drawback, it was super cold and windy even during the summer! Check out a few of these spectacular photos which we took during our journey!

A walk along the waterfront is the best way to take in the scenery and historical sights, not to mention also the most budget friendly. However, if you do have the extra cash to spend, a cruise really is a beautiful, relaxing, and convenient way to take in the sights. Plus, Massachusetts is one of the best places in the world for whale watching! I highly recommend both a cruise and a self guided tour of the state park.
