The best time to visit Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida

If you are seeking fewer crowds, milder weather, and cheaper hotels than January and February are great months to plan your trip to Walt Disney World in Florida! Christmas at Disney World is one of the busiest times of the year, so you will enjoy fewer crowds if you arrive after the holiday rush.

One of the biggest benefits of traveling to Orlando in January and February is the comfortable weather which often averages in the low 70s! The temperatures during my last July trip were miserable, often approaching 100 with high humidity!

Where to stay

Windsor Hills Resort in Kissimmee is a great place to stay, especially in January when the rates are cheaper. Currently January rates are going for $100 and February for $110 per night. Windsor Hills has 3 bedroom condo rentals available complete with a full kitchen and washer/dryer. I stayed here with my family last time I visited Disney and absolutely loved it!

Just a quick 10 minute drive from the parks with all the conveniences of home for a little over $100 a night! The resort also features a pool, hot tub, water-slide, sand volleyball courts, a game room, and more. The units are very spacious (about 1200 square feet) so your entire party will have plenty of room. For a much cheaper price tag than a fancy resort, you can enjoy more space and more amenities – it is definitely worth checking out!
