Stoneforge in Raynham, Massachusetts

We first dined at Stoneforge Public House to celebrate a family member’s graduation. We loved the food, service, and ambiance so much that Mike and I dined here again multiple times. This is the perfect restaurant choice for anyone seeking a special dining experience in the Southeast Massachusetts area. It’s an easy drive from many cities like Plymouth and Fall River. The classy vibe makes this restaurant a great choice for celebrating birthdays, graduations, and other special occasions.

The beautiful dining room features vaulted ceilings and wood paneling. There is a cozy sitting area with a bar and fireplace. There is also a nice outdoor patio for the summer season. We haven’t dined here yet but it looks really nice.

The food is very appetizing, although a bit pricey – so a great choice when you want to splurge for a special occasion. I love the fancy presentation, especially of the salads. Bread with olive oil dipping is provided complimentary which is a nice bonus.

On my most recent visit, I ordered the Butternut Squash ravioli, which was outstanding. I loved the creamy dressing. It was so delicious – I only wish the serving was a bit larger, but really one of the best ravioli entrees I’ve ever tasted. All pasta dishes are served with a small salad.

Each dinner entree comes with your choice of 2 sides. On this special occasion, everyone in our large party really enjoyed their varied entrees, which ranged from prime rib to Chicken Parmesan. Servings are not huge, but there are enough sides and breads to more than fill you up.

There is a large drinks menu and a tempting dessert menu. Our waitress was very professional and energetic. I loved the comfortable, yet elegant setting and overall vibe of the restaurant. As the food, service, and setting were all top notch, I highly recommend this local gem if you are seeking a fine dining establishment. I will be planning a return visit sometime this summer to enjoy the patio al fresco dining and live entertainment.

What else to do in the area?

If this is your first time visiting family members or friends in the area, you are in luck as Raynham is located in between 2 great tourist cities. First off, Plymouth (an easy 30 min drive) is home to a gorgeous waterfront, numerous historic attractions including Plymouth Rock, and a wonderful whale watching cruise. You can check out my Plymouth vacation bucket list for more ideas.

Second, Fall River is a quick 25 minute drive. This city is also rich in historical significance. My top recommended activity is booking a tour of the Lizzie Borden home. If you followed this case closely, this tour is a must. Also, depending on how much of a history buff you are, a self-guided tour of Battleship Cove is pretty awesome.
