The Hudson is one of Sedona's best restaurants. Featuring a diverse menu of delicious creative entrees, outstanding red rock views from the cozy outdoor patio, & great service, it's an easy pick for a relaxing lunch or dinner after your outdoor adventures. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The food is great and the stunning views via the top cannot be topped.
The Hudson's menu is fantastic with lots of options for everyone. There are casual choices like burgers and sandwiches, big healthy entree sized salads, lots of comfort appetizers, and a diverse variety of entrees choices consisting of a little bit of everything from ribs, to seafood, to ravioli! A few of the tempting starters include: salted soft pretzel bread served with cheese dip, Chef Jeff's corn chowder, and beer battered calamari. They also offer a number of creative Bruschetta options including a Southwestern style street corn.
The spinach artichoke dip is a definite must try in terms of starters. This dip is creamy and delicious with warm tortilla chips which are just perfect for dipping. The open faced turkey sandwich was delicious and the Butternut Squash Ravioli, a satisfying high carb treat after a long hike. Browsing around the dining room, the salads looked huge and bursting with all sorts of vegetables. I am definitely trying one out on my next visit. There are so many delicious healthy vegetarian options include the Sedona quinoa salad, a Roasted beet salad, and a kale salad. Other entrees which sound tempting include: Southwest Chicken Pasta, Baked Stuffed Shrimp, and Salmon served with exotic rice and veggies.
Service was fantastic, nothing to complain about here. Entrees were brought out surprisingly quick despite the crowds. We were brought out water while waiting for a table. On a side note, this restaurant is very crowded even for lunch, so be sure to make a reservation to avoid a lengthy wait.
The setting at The Hudson is unmatched in Sedona. From the beautiful outdoor patio, you will enjoy panoramic views in every direction of Sedona's gorgeous red rock landscapes. The patio is cozy and laid-back with comfy seating and cozy couches.
The indoor dining area is very beautiful too with big windows so you can enjoy the views from inside as well during the hot summer season. The Hudson vibe is very laid-back, so you can visit following a hike without feeling underdressed. Their amazing Butternut Squash is one of the best entrees I've tried in the region!
The Hudson is one of your best bets for a casual lunch experience. For a relaxing lunch with tasty comfort foods and a great view of Sedona's incredible red rocks, there is no better choice in town.
