If you are seeking great Indian food in Savannah, the top choice is definitely Naan on Broughton. This contemporary cafe serves a delicious mix of street fare and traditional entrees in a hip modern setting.
Naan serves a mix of Indian street fare and traditional homemade recipes. Lunch (11-2) is the best time to plan your visit. At this time, you can take advantage of a number of entrees priced under ten bucks. Each entrée comes with basmati rice, papadum, and cucumber salad.
Naan bread is extra, but worth the cost! They offer an amazing assortment of 10+ different Naan breads. Try the sampler which includes onion kutcha, garlic, and basil.
As far as entrees, the Vegetable Tikka Masala is definitely the must try here. This dish is just bursting with flavors, with just the right amount of spice. Filled with healthy vegetables, this is a great choice for any health conscious, as well as vegetarian diners.
For an appetizer, try the Samosa Chaat. This dish is pretty simple and consists of chopped samosa topped with veggies and a mix of spicy, tangy, and sweet sauces. It's really, really flavorful with a bit of a kick to it. I have been to a lot of Indian restaurants around the country and this one really surprised me! I came in not expecting much, but really enjoyed the flavors of the sauces, the texture of the Naan bread, and the tasty apps.
Service is great here, very professional and attentive. The food presentation is great as well.
The dining room is airy and modern with a nice contemporary vibe. The vibe is fresh, clean, and inviting. Naan is a great place for an afternoon date or meet up with friends.
