This quick service Latin cafe has 2 Tampa Bay area locations including one in Largo which is not too far from the beaches and other notable tourist attractions and one in Palm Harbor. Stop by for a healthy customizable lunch after a long day of recreation. The casual ambiance makes this an appealing choice after a hot day in the sun. I have stopped here several times following a long hot day at the Gulf and have never been disappointed in the quality of the food.
At Latin Bowl, you will get to customize your own salad, wrap, or rice bowl with your choice of protein, toppings, and sauce. Protein options include Chicken, Beef, Veggie, Shredded Pork, or Steak. Fresh toppings include veggies like spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, black olives, corn, sweet peppers, cilantro, and avocado. As a vegetarian, I had no problem customizing something that was fresh, healhty, and free of meat. Mike also liked the many chicken based options.
All orders also include chips and salsa. Pricing is super affordable at just $8-10 an entrée, not to mention very filling.
Add on an empanada or Yucca cheese bites as a tasty side.
This is a quick service establishment. On our first visit, the staff taking orders was not really friendly and did not explain the ordering process. For a first time customer, this was an awkward experience to say the least.
On a positive note, the manager did give us a coupon to come back and try again. The service was much friendlier on our return visit. We have returned several times and can say that the service has improved a lot.
There is little seating here besides a small outdoor patio. Fortunately, the space is covered, so you can still dine here even on really hot sunny days.
Latin Bowl is a casual and affordable lunch option if your activities for the day take you near the Seminole/Largo area. It is a nice quick stop for lunch after exploring nearby preserves such as beautiful nearby Boca Ciega park, treat yourself to a satisfying, filling bowl loaded with fresh ingredients.
