Harvey's is one of several casino resorts located in Stateline, Nevada. There are many amenities to enjoy here including: a variety of great dining choices, a spa, a pool and fitness center, and several nightlife options. Mike and I chose Harvey's Lake Tahoe as our hotel of choice for my birthday weekend. We chose this resort primarily because of its close proximity to Lake Tahoe attractions. Update: This property was completely renovated (at the cost of a whopping 160 million dollars!) in October of 2024.
Harvey's looks like your typical casino resort. It doesn't look much different that most of the others in Reno and Lake Tahoe. The main reason we stayed here was for the on-site restaurants and entertainment, and the proximity to Tahoe attractions. Update: With the new renovation, you can enjoy more modern amenities.
Amenities include a heated pool and spa, fitness center, arcade, gift shops, restaurants, salons, and of course, the casino. The outdoor pool and hot tub were nice because they were heated and it was really cold outside! The views overlooking the lake were nice too! Pet friendly rooms available. Recent updates include: electric charging stations and self check in via the lobby kiosk or your phone. Dining highlights include: Gordon Ramsay Hells Kitchen and Wolf by Vanderpump. Unfortunately, they closed the Hard Rock Cafe years ago.
We paid about $150 for the room, which wasn't too bad considering the location and the on-site restaurants, bars, casino, and entertainment that we had access to without having to drive our car. Rates can vary from $69 specials to ovr $300 on busy summer weekends. Check the website for upcoming deals.
The room was pretty basic, except for the bathroom. The bathroom had a tub with a TV which was kinda fun and a separate shower, which you don't see too often in basic hotel rooms. The marble tiles gave it an elegant feel. We also had decent partial views of the pine trees. Views of the lake or wooded forest available.
Check the website for special packages and promotions. They frequently offer ski and stay packages.
Rooms were updated as part of the new renovation. Nothing too special, but a clean space to stay the night. Rooms are non smoking. Dogs allowed only in Pet Stay rooms.
Harvey's Lake Tahoe is a great place to stay near Lake Tahoe if you are a looking for a good time and do not feel like driving around town all day. You have a casino, plenty of restaurants to choose amongst, a pool and hot, and you are within walking distance to Heavenly Village. What else can you ask for in a great Lake Tahoe vacation?
