Yard House is an upscale American chain known for their comfort food, appetizers, and huge selection of draft beers. I love this Yard House location in the Shoreline Village area of Long Beach. Shoreline Village is a beautiful shopping and dining village on the waterfront. Make sure to sit outside to take advantage of the relaxing water views. If you haven't ever been to Yard House, you should know that they offer great happy hour specials and are known for offering an extensive variety of beers. Yard House is the perfect destination for late night appetizers and drinks!
Yard House is known for their extensive appetizer selection. Highlights include: Spicy Za'atar Hummus, Poke Nachos, Fried Calamari, Chicken Nachos, Jumbo Bavarian pretzel, Boneless Wings, Four Cheese Spinach Dip, and Wisconsin Fried Cheese Curds. They even often vegan Gardein wings. Apps aside, they serve sandwiches, pizza, and steak and chicken based entrees. We ordered several appetizers and drinks. I really liked the onion ring tower and lettuce wraps. I recommend visiting during happy hours and trying out a few of the fantastic appetizers. Servings here are humongous - so keep that in mind before ordering!
Service was good considering the large number of people dining outside.
Yard House has a casual upscale vibe. This particular location with the outdoor seating next to the water was such an enjoyable experience. I liked that they had outdoor heaters as it was a bit cool. If I were to suggest an improvement it would be to invest in some lights! At night it was extremely difficult to read the menu.
I would go back to Yard House again for Happy Hours, but not sure if I would visit outside of this time as the regular menu looks a bit overpriced. For a fun atmosphere on the water, I recommend a visit to Yard House during your Long Beach vacation.
