The Omni Bedford Springs is a gorgeous and historic property in the Allegheny mountains region of southern Pennsylvania. Even if you are not staying at the resort, it is a gorgeous place to visit over the holiday season as they decorate beautifully. After touring the decorations, treat yourself to a meal at The Crystal Room. This upscale dining space offers a wonderful weekend brunch.
If you have ever been to an Omni resort buffet before, then you will know that they are pretty spectacular. The Crystal Room is no exception. For under 30 dollars, you can enjoy endless juice and coffee, made-to-order omelets, plus all the standard breakfast fare like pastries, toast, potatoes, yogurt and fruit, and more.
Local farm-to-table products from regional farms, ranches, and fisheries is used in each dish, so you are paying for higher quality local and organic ingredients which is always appreciated.
While it is quite pricey, the food is delicious and the elegant dining setting makes it a great splurge for a weekend out or special occasion treat. I enjoyed the food, coffee, and most of all, the pretty decor.
Service was great: our waitress was friendly and attentive.
The ambiance is beautiful here with crystal chandeliers and upscale furnishings. Really, the setting is perfect for a date or celebratory event. During the holiday season, the resort is decorated gorgeously for Christmas. This is a popular time to stay and/or visit the resort. Although busy this time of year, the festive decor makes the experience all the more special!
Do check out the breakfast buffet at The Crystal Room whether or not you are staying at the Omni Bedford Springs. As this particular location ranks as one of the best Omni properties, you may want to considering booking a night or 2. Amenities on-site include one of the oldest and top ranked golf courses in the country, an outdoor pool and hot tub, and a full service spa. Also, Bedford Springs is home to over a dozen historic covered bridges: a great day trip if staying at the resort.
