Review Details

Rosa's Pizzeria is an excellent casual dining choice for fans of Italian cuisine. Rosa's serves authentic Italian dishes in a cozy rustic setting. In a sea of boring chain restaurants, Rosa's Pizzeria stands out as a solid dining choice in Prescott. If you venture into downtown Prescott, you will be surprised to find a number of unique restaurants: a striking contrast to the many chains surrounding the town.

Food

At Rosa's, you will find your favorite traditional Italian dishes like Baked Ziti, Spaghetti Marinara, Lasagna, Cheese Ravioli, Fettuccine Alfredo, Veal and Chicken entrees, and much more. They over a gluten free chicken and kale ravioli which is a nice choice for anyone with special dietary concerns. Their specialities include Rosa's Penne Al Pesto and Eggplant Parmesan.

Pizza is their specialty with a large lineup of interesting pizza creations including a Sicilian pizza. A simple plain cheese pizza was a great choice for us. The Baked Ziti was fantastic as well. In terms of appetizers, an order (or 2) of the delicious garlic knots is a must!

As is the case with most restaurants in touristy Prescott, pricing is a bit on the high side with a 16 inch specialty pizza running $20 and pasta plates starting at about $15, with much higher prices for meat based entrees. A basic marinara pasta plate will only set you back $10.

Overall, we felt that we received a good value in exchange for the price. We even had a few leftovers to take home with us.

Update: As of 2025, pizza now starts around $24-28. There are lots of specialty pies to choose amongst including: Eggplant, Spinach, Veggie, Margherita, Meat Lover's, Alfredo, and Mediterraneo. A build your own slice special is offered daily (until 4pm) for just 3 bucks. All pizza is hand tossed and the dough is prepared in-house every day.

Service

Our waiter was fantastic, very attentive and friendly. Food was served hot and fresh with no longer than a 15 minute wait, even though it was very crowded. He catered to our various requests like extra sauce on the pizza and light cheese on the Ziti.

Atmosphere

Rosa's is a casual Italian gem with a laid-back bar/pizza parlor atmosphere. The brick walls and rustic ambiance make it a great place to catch up with friends or family for a relaxing meal.

Don't come here looking for a fancy Italian meal, but rather a laid-back dining experience with friends and family sharing home-cooked Italian favorites like pizza and pasta. The owners are actually from Sicily, so you know that they know how to do Italian food right.

A European style outdoor patio is available during Prescott's milder months. Dining outside during Prescott's mild spring and fall season would be a great opportunity to people watch downtown.

Rosa's is one of Prescott's most popular restaurants. Be sure to visit before 5 on weekends if you want to be seated right away or be prepared to wait a while!

Final Words

Overall, Rosa's is one of the best dining options in Prescott. The welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, tasty authentic dishes, and great downtown location make it one of my most recommended dining choices for new visitors.
