Crockett's is the place to go for breakfast if you find yourself vacationing in/visiting downtown Gatlinburg. Classic Southern breakfast entrees and a cozy cabin style dining room have made Crocketts Gatlinburg super popular with tourists, especially families. This place sure does get busy, so arrive early to avoid a lengthy wait! The comfort style menu and rustic charm make it a great compliment to day exploring the Great Smokies National Park.
You will find no shortage of hearty breakfast fare on Crockett's menu. Whether you are in the mood for an omelet, pancakes, oatmeal, or French Toast, Crockett's has you covered.
For those with a sweet tooth, there are all sorts of creative waffles, pancakes, and French toast entrees on the lineup. Try a plate of Pecan Waffles served with caramel sauce, or a "healthier" mountain waffle topped with granola, Greek yogurt, and fresh strawberries.
Or go classic Southern with a bowl of warm stone ground grits or a cathead stacker (traditional Southern cathead biscuit sandwich stacked with your choice of toppings). The servings here are pretty large and the pricing affordable.
The Veggie Omelet and Elk Mountain burrito we tested were pretty good. The potatoes probably could have been cooked a bit longer, however, overall the meal was a great value for a popular tourist area.
The staff was very pleasant. This place still retains a local charm despite being located in such a touristy area.
The decor here is really attractive. The entire dining room feels like a woodsy rustic lodge, rather than a restaurant. The gigantic fireplace really gives the space an extra cozy touch. Love the newspaper menus! I really love the decor and think it fits in perfectly with the area, especially if you play on staying in a rustic cabin or hiking the Smokies.
Crockett's is the place to go for a great breakfast, offered at a great value. The charming rustic design and attention to deal really make this restaurant stand out amongst the many others lining the Parkway. A really cute place that I would stop by again before my next hiking adventure.
