The Bellagio Fountains Show
The Bellagio Fountains show is a unique synchronized water, music, and light show. This beautiful show is held every 15-30 minutes throughout the day. Check the Bellagio website for details regarding exact times.
The Volcano eruptions at The Mirage
The Volcano show at The Mirage is another really fun, free show to see on the strip. The fun music in the background ( composed by “Grateful Dead” drummer Mickey Hart) adds to the experience. The show runs nightly from 7-11pm. Find out more information on The Mirage website.
Watch a TV show pilot at CBS Television Research Center
The CBS Television consumer research center located inside of the MGM Grand allows guests to watch a pilot for a new TV show and give their honest feedback. The pilot we watched was terrible, however, it was still an entertaining, interesting experience, and it is fun to know that you had an influence on whether the show did or didn’t make it on the air. If you are looking to do something different on your trip, then the CBS Television Research Center should be added to your must do list. They give out plenty of coupons for restaurants and shops inside the MGM Grand. This is a great free, unique activity for your next trip to Vegas. Find out more about the Research Center here.
Take a picture of The Mirage Aquarium
I really wanted to see this aquarium on my trip because I am a big fan of “National Lampoon’s Vegas Vacation.” This large 53 foot long, 8 foot tall aquarium is the same that was used in the movie, which was filmed primarily at The Mirage. This beautiful saltwater tank includes hundreds of colorful fish. Visit The Mirage website for more info about the aquarium.
Watch the Fall of Atlantis show at Caesar’s Palace
The Fall of Atlantis show is an entertaining, free Greek mythology themed show held right in the center of The Forum Shops in Caesar’s Palace. The show features fun special effects, lights, and animatronics. There are plenty of great shops and restaurants. For a full listing visit the Forum Shops website.
