Review Details

Cobie's is a Cape Cod style clam shack located in the small town of Brewster. We decided to stop here for a break during our 22 mile bike ride on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Cobie's is the perfect spot for refueling as it is located at the halfway point of the path. The sign for the restaurant easily stands out along the trail, so there really is no way to miss it. Cobie's has won numerous awards including Best Clam Shack by The Today Show in 2009. This is a great stop if you love seafood.

Food

Cobie's menu consists of wraps, sandwiches, seafood, burgers, and fried appetizers. You will find classic seafood fare like Fish and Chips, Clam Chowder, and a shrimp plate. They are known for their seafood rolls which includes options like: Lobster, Clam, Scallop, Shrimp, and Tuna salad. We didn't eat much because we didn't want to be overstuffed for the rest of our ride. We just had a turkey wrap and baked potato. The food was decent, although the serving sizes were pretty small, so if you are looking for a big meal you probably won't get it here! The onion rings looked really good - I wish I would have ordered them!

Service

At Cobie's, you order at the outdoor counter and pick up your order when your buzzer rings. The staff working the counter were friendly and patient with us while we decided on our meal.

Atmosphere

There is a nice outdoor seating area, which is perfect for the summer months. All seating is covered so the sun isn't shining in your face while eating. Cobie's is a great place to relax with a snack or light meal after exercising.

Final Words

I recommend Cobie's to those biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. As I mentioned before, it is located conveniently at the halfway point. If you like seafood, you will have no problem finding something on the menu. There are also numerous wraps, sandwiches, and burgers if you need some carb fuel, plus smoothie and ice cream if you need a cool summer treat.
