Tequila Jack's is a nice Mexican restaurant located on the waterfront in Shoreline Village in Long Beach, California. There is a large menu with many vegetarian options available. They also have great Happy Hour specials! While living in Long Beach, this was on my lineup of Friday night fun restaurants.
On the menu, you will find lots of diverse tacos, burritos, fajitas, and enchiladas to choose amongst, along with a few house specialties. From portabella mushroom fajitas, to a shrimp burrito, to chicken enchiladas, there is something for everyone at Tequila Jacks.
The waitress brought out chips and salsa before we ordered. The salsa was really spicy, so I asked for a milder version. I ordered a roasted vegetable burrito and it came with rice and beans. Really good! Mike ordered a chicken burrito and said it was great! Prices were not too bad. Mike and I both ordered an entrée and drinks and it came out to about $35. Update: We visited this restaurant on many occasions during our time living in the city and always enjoyed everything.
The waitress was really good on refills and brought the mild salsa that I requested out right away.
Tequilas offers a nice outdoor deck where you can sit and enjoy the water views and the nice California breeze. However, we decided to sit inside because there was no seating available outside. Inside was nice with a modern, upscale feel.
I was hesitant to dine here at first as I have been to a lot of bad Mexican restaurant, but this place took me by surprise! I love the lively deck and location in touristy Shoreline. Tequila's is definitely a great pick if you like Mexican food and you are seeking a fun and lively dinner destination.
