Food

The menu consists of a mix of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean specialties. Lunch is the best time to visit as the menu is more affordable, plus it's easy to walk right in without a wait. Highlights include Shakshuka, a veggie Falafel wrap, a variety of tapas, and a wonderful Vegetarian Platter. This is a great dining choice for vegetarians as there are plenty of apps and entrees, and all are conveniently marked on the menu.

The platter is a real steal at just 11 bucks. With this dish, you will be able to sample a variety of traditional foods such as pita, hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, olives, tahini salad, stuffed grape leaves, and baba ghanoush for one low price.

For dessert, treat yourself to Baklava and Turkish coffee. Also, they serve a variety of wine and cocktail drinks, local and seasonal beers, and tea.

Service

Service is attentive and the presentation is beautiful.

Atmosphere

The decor is attractive and the atmosphere a bit more toned down than the more touristy dining options. The dining space is colorful and interesting with a relaxing vibe that is perfect for anyone seeking a quiet dining destination.

At night, they offer live music and belly dancing performances, so definitely something unique to consider if you are seeking an eclectic dining experience.

Final Remarks

If you are craving authentic Middle Eastern food, Jerusalem Garden Cafe is your best bet in the Asheville area. Here you will be treated to the best falafel and hummus in the region, in one of the region's more interesting dining rooms.
