The Blue Ridge Artisanal Buffet is a upscale buffet at the Omni Grove Park Inn of Asheville. The setting is really gorgeous as the entire resort overlooks the Blue Ridge mountains. The buffet is the best dining option at the resort, both for the views and terrific food. Breakfast is by far the best value. Asides from enjoying the tremendous scenery via the floor-to-ceiling windows, you will also be treated to a scrumptious buffet spread which includes made-to-order omelets, fresh squeezed juiced drinks, a donut bar, chia seed pudding, and much more!
The best time to visit the Omni Blue Ridge buffet is for the breakfast buffet, served from 7-10:30am. The price is high at $30+, although offerings really are extensive.
In addition to all the typical breakfast fare, you will get to enjoy fresh made-to-order omelets, fresh squeezed juiced drinks, an oatmeal and chia seed pudding bar, and a donut bar. All the food is fresh and delicious. The presentation is attractive as well. Everything is kept clean and stocked.
A decadent weekend brunch is offered on Saturday and Sundays from Noon-2:30pm. The price is a bit higher, however, you can expect a more extravagant display. Also, a special dinner buffet is served on Friday & Saturday nights from 5pm-9:00pm.
Also, the holiday buffets are worth looking into if you will be in the region at this time. Quite pricey, although worthy of consideration for the extravagant spread, gorgeous décor, and fantastic scenery. The Thanksgiving and Christmas buffets are especially decadent, although the wait can be long on busy weekends.
Servers are always courteous, prompt, and professional. Plates are consistently cleared and coffee is refilled in a timely manner. As a bonus, coffee to go is always offered. I usually order a cup to go and enjoy my drink by the beautiful lobby fireplace!
Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the gorgeous Blue Ridge mountains. This is the top place in town if a fantastic view is your prime objective. Every seat in the buffet offers a grand view, however, you can request a window seat for an even better viewpoint.
The buffet itself is well-maintained and constantly restocked. All the offerings are fresh. The room is meticulously clean. The decor is beautiful, especially around the Christmas season. I love walking around the resort over the holidays. It's deck to the brim with numerous Christmas trees. Also, they host the National Gingerbread competition: you can tour the entries for free (a parking fee applies around the holidays).
Numerous shops, scenic overlooks outside the property, and an enormous lobby fireplace will keep you busy for a while.
Definitely plan for breakfast at the Omni, regardless of whether or not you are staying at the resort. The diverse buffet offerings, amazing scenery, and exceptional service easily make this my top pick for an overall outstanding brunch experience in Asheville.
