The tantalizing display of pastries is what draws many to Jean Pierre. So many delicious selections are available. Simply enjoying a treat and an espresso at Jean Pierre makes for a great little break after walking around town for a bit.
If you are craving something a bit more savory, consider a light lunch at Jean Pierre. Although the servings are very small and the menu a bit overpriced, the food is quite delicious.
The crab and lobster soup, although really overpriced at ten bucks a bowl, is really delicious. We tested out a tasty egg salad sandwich and a quiche, both which were great, although very overpriced for the tiny portion. And, of course, we treated ourselves to a delicious selection from the pastry cake, a rich chocolate cake. The dessert selection here is unbelievable. Everything is made in house and there are treats of every kind.
Don't come here if you are overly hungry. Jean Pierre is more of a place to enjoy a light lunch in the lovely French bistro atmosphere.
Service was not very good, considering the upscale nature of the restaurant and over the top pricing. The mediocre service really did not fit in with the fine dining nature of the restaurant.
The ambiance here is quite nice, very elegant with pleasing decor. Jean Pierre is a very nice place for an afternoon date or upscale lunch outing.
Jean Pierre is an okay choice if you are seeking fine end dining and do not mind paying the upcharge. If you are looking to keep it budget friendly and simply enjoy the nice ambiance, it may be best to enjoy one of the delicious treats along with a cup of coffee.
