Review Details

This chic diner is a great place to enjoy comfort classics like grilled cheese, burgers, and breakfast staples in a modern setting. The food is affordable and comforting, and thus, basically the perfect treat after a long day out exploring Savannah's historic district.

Food

The menu at Little Duck consists of a little bit of everything. Enjoy all day breakfast, burgers, gourmet grilled cheese, soups, salads, tacos, and of course, milkshakes. The menu incorporates a mix of classic diner fare, as well as newer favorites like a Grilled Salmon bowl and Avocado Toast.

The highlight here is a selection of tempting grilled cheese sandwiches. You can never go wrong with classic grilled cheese and tomato soup after a long exhausting day.

The sandwich comes with fries and you can add a cup of tomato soup for a few extra bucks. They offer 6 varieties including "Fancy Schmancy" which includes Havarti, cheddar, and gruyere cheese. They also serve some tempting desserts including an apple and blueberry pie a la mode. Best of all, they serve La Colombe Coffee (one of my all time favorite coffee roasters!).

Service

Service is great, no complaints here. The vibe is your typical diner friendliness, so a great place to visit while on vacation.

Atmosphere

Little Duck bills itself as a "vintage chic diner." The diner was modeled after the classic diners of the 20's and 30's, only with a fresh contemporary twist. This charming cafe offers a fun, hip, and nostalgic atmosphere all at the same time.

Final Words

Do stop for a yummy grilled cheese and tomato soup after a long day. You will not be dissapointed. I enjoyed sitting down, listening to the fun music, and refueling on some tasty carbs after a very long day of history tours. The modern retro ambiance and old school music adds a fun youthful touch not found elsewhere in this historic city. Great choice anytime of day!
