HH Prime
HH Prime, a fantastic steakhouse/seafood restaurant located inside the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort, features an attractive, lively outdoor setting. It's a convenient place to dine if you are staying at the resort.
Along with a daily breakfast and dinner menu, HH Prime also offers a special breakfast buffet and a daily Early Dinner Prime Time menu.
Food
Along with high quality USDA Prime Grade Beef selections, highlights include a selection of fresh seafood, and the island's largest wine menu (over 100 choices!).
Appetizers on the dinner menu are mostly seafood based and include selections such as Shrimp and Grits and Crab Cakes. Entrees are mostly seafood based as well with selections like Seafood Pasta, Atlantic Salmon, and PEI Mussels.
The dinner menu features a small selection of allergy friendly choices such as gluten-free pasta and vegan sauces. The chef was kindly able to create for us a gluten and dairy-free pasta selection with a wonderful marinara based sauce. Our waiter was nice enough to bring out gluten-free bread and olive oil as a substitution for the traditional bread.
The Chicken Breast served with roasted vegetable couscous and sautéed mushrooms is a great alternative for those who don't like seafood. Mike was impressed with the dish and especially enjoyed the perfectly seasoned mushrooms and asparagus (our waiter had no problem substituting out the couscous).
Breakfast includes your choice of a full, unlimited buffet or you can select amongst a small variety of entrees (omelets, Crab Benedict, French Toast, and Waffles). Juices, hot loose leaf tea from Tea Forte, and Organic Starbucks Coffee are available to compliment your meal.
Unfortunately, we were unable to test out the breakfast as the allergy friendly selections were extremely limited.
Service
Although the dinner staff was very accommodating, the same can not be said for the breakfast staff. We attempted to order a simple veggie omelet with potatoes, however, the chef was unable to cook a separate batch of potatoes in oil (as opposed to the normal butter seasoning). We were surprised as the dinner staff was more than willing to cater to our dietary needs.
Atmosphere
The indoor dining room is very classy, providing the perfect setting for a romantic evening. The outdoor patio, complete with live music, fire-pits, and beautiful courtyard views, offers the perfect vibe for a casual night out. The fall weather in Hilton Head is ideal for enjoying a fresh dinner while listening to the live nightly dinner music.
Final Remarks
HH Prime is a convenient treat for those staying at Omni, in addition to any other island visitor seeking a good meal and a lively dining experience.
