Muddy Moose Restaurant and Pub is a casual dining restaurant located in North Conway, New Hampshire. I stopped into the restaurant for dinner on a recent trip to the North Conway area. I wasn’t sure where to eat dinner and conveniently saw the restaurant while driving down the main road in town. You will not miss it as it is located on the main road through town.
It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised with the food and atmosphere. I definitely recommend Muddy Moose for a great dinner after hitting the slopes or even for a fun night out in itself.
Muddy Moose offers a large menu. I had the spinach artichoke dip which was delicious! It actually tasted homemade as opposed to most chain restaurants’ dip which tastes like it is straight out of the freezer.
Portions are huge so come hungry! Prices are reasonable, especially for the large serving sizes. I also ordered a side salad and baked potato. Mike ordered the Southwest Chicken Wrap and said it was the best wrap he ever had in his life! He wants to go back just for the wrap!
There are numerous wraps, burgers, salads, and seafood based dishes to choose amongst, so everyone in your party can likely find something! Highlights include New England Clam Chowder, Captain's Fish and Chips, and Fred's Baked Haddock.
If I had to pick one area in which this restaurant lacked, it was definitely in the service department! The waitress was not very friendly or sociable. A better waitress would have made our night even more enjoyable.
I loved the woodsy log cabin theme of the restaurant. From the antler chandeliers to knotty pine ceiling and walls to the huge stone fireplace, the setting was just right for the area.
I definitely recommend stopping in Muddy Moose at least one night on your White Mountains trip, either for dinner or for a drink at the bar. You will not be disappointed!
