White Duck serves the best tacos in the Upstate. Not only are the tacos here fantastic, they are also served a la carte, so you can mix and match different options.
White Duck is a trendy bustling place. The vibe is great and the food is tasty and cheap. Definitely one of the best places in town for an affordable & fun meal! I treat myself to a few tacos and their wonderful queso dip at least a few times a month.
Update: The Hampton Ave location closed, however, a new shop opened in downtown Greenville. I am guessing they switched locations to attraction tourists. A great idea as Main St. receives so much foot traffic!
White Duck offers about 10 enticing taco selections which you can mix and match for about 3 bucks a piece. Start off with their amazing chips and queso app and a bowl of southwest corn chowder. The salsa trio is also a must try.
As far as tacos go, they offer just about everything including vegan tofu, black bean, thai peanut chicken, even lump crab. This is a great place to take a chance and try something new as the prices are so cheap! The menu constantly changes so you can always look forwarding to trying something new.
Recommended tacos include: Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegan Jackfruit, the Zorba (falafel), and Vegetarian Black Bean and Cheese. I give them bonus point for always having one vegetarian option on the lineup. Also, any taco can be made vegetarian friendly by substituting jackfruit for the meat.
Update: Tacos are now priced at $4.85 each as of 2025. Not a bad deal considering they really fill them to the brim with toppings.
Service is always great here. Even though the place is usually busy, the line moves pretty fast. Food is served surprisingly quick.
The setting is modern and trendy. White Duck is one of numerous popular Asheville originated foodie destinations which has spread to Greenville.
The restaurant is located in a trendy plaza with numerous other establishments including a popular local roaster, a brewery, and a craft ax throwing business.
Update: As I stated earlier this location has closed. The new cafe on Main St. is walkable to many local shops and beautiful Falls Park, so really a much better experience as you can make it a half day activity.
White Duck is the place to go for creative tacos. There is an option here for everyone, even those with strict dietary needs. The ambiance is fun and the price is right. Free electric car charging while you dine is just an extra bonus!
