Vickery's is a waterfront restaurant serving seafood and southern cafe in Mt. Pleasant. The beautiful waterfront views, the seafood, the lively vibe...there really is no other choice when it comes to a fun night on the town destination. The nice scenery and fun vibe make it a great vacation dining choice.
Vickery's offers something for everyone. From entrée sized chicken & seafood based salads, to low country seafood plates, to fried seafood platters, and pastas, there is a selection to tempt even the pickiest eaters.
The appetizers here are amazing. Really, they offer an endless list of tempting comfort fare. Bourbon shrimp, artichoke dip, vegetable spring rolls, hush puppies...so many enticing choices.
The Low Country Saute featuring shrimp, crab meat, and crawfish tails in bourbon batter, topped with crispy fried oysters, and served over grits or Cuban style rice, is one of the restaurant's more popular selections.
Shrimp and Grits, Seared crab cakes, Pesto Pasta with Scallops and Shrimp, Shrimp Linguini, Fried Seafood platters...there are endless choices here for seafood lovers.
One great aspect of Vickery's is that they do not forget about their vegetarian customers. Many seafood restaurants in the area offer zero choices for vegetarians.
Vickery's, on the other hand, offers a delicious Cuban black bean soup and amazing Cuban black bean cakes, served with sour cream, pico de gallo, and sautéed spinach. These cakes are an excellent choice for anyone, regardless of whether you are the biggest carnivore or a stringent vegetarian.
Service was great here. The vibe is laid-back and casual, so perfect for anyone seeking a low-key dinner destination.
The restaurant looks out upon Shem Creek. The windows are all huge, so almost everyone seat has a great view. If weather permits, take your meal outside where the view will be even more spectacular. If you can time your visit just right, sunset offers the most stunning vistas.
Seafood lovers and anyone else seeking a fun, casual, scenic place to enjoy dinner in Mt. Pleasant will want to put Vickery's on their itinerary. If you are vacationing in the Charleston area, Vickery's is a close drive, and worth it to enjoy the winner of Charleston's "best waterfront dining" award. On my next Charleston vacation, I would come back for the black bean cakes and beautiful scenery.
