While shopping at The Grove in Los Angeles, I decided to check out The Cheesecake Factory. I had never dined at any other location, but this location looked especially appealing with the outdoor dining overlooking the center. Update: Since dining here, I have become a big fan of this chain. This is one of my favorites of the big restaurant chains. I love the fresh salads, the complimentary brown bread and butter, and the beautiful upscale casual ambiance.
This place has the biggest menu I have ever seen; it is like 20 pages long! Anything you want is on the menu. Pasta, soup, salad, sandwiches, seafood, steaks, flatbread pizzas, and so many tempting appetizers will give you plenty to choose amongst.
I ordered a vegetarian salad (Fresh Vegetable Salad) that had all different types of vegetables including green beans, tomato, cucumber, asparagus, roasted beets, edamame, radicchio, romaine lettuce, along with white cheddar, and apples in it. The unlimited complimentary bread was good too - I love the brown bread, not sure what type of bread it is but it's so good! Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to try any cheesecake. Maybe, next time. Don't order too much as the portion sizes are tremendous!
Update: I've been back to The Cheesecake Factory menu times. I highly recommend the following items: Spinach Artichoke Dip, Fried Zucchini, Eggroll sampler, Renee's Turkey sandwich, Vegan Cobb salad, and the Godiva chocolate and holiday Peppermint Bark cheesecake.
The waitress was friendly and provided decent service. I find that when dining outside they don't seem to rush you as much which makes for a more relaxing dining experience.
I loved the outdoor seating at this location; what a great way to take advantage of the beautiful Los Angeles weather! It was fun to people watch while dining on the outdoor terrace.
I recommend choosing The Cheesecake Factory when deciding on a restaurant at The Grove. Great prices, huge portions, friendly service, and a beautiful outdoor terrace should make your choice easy! The food is fresh and there are so many options to choose amongst. The tempting cheesecake counter (with about 20 different choices) is hard to pass up!
