Olympian Grill is a local Greek cafe which serves a nice mix of Greek and Italian fare. Compared to all the popular trendy choices lining Main Street, this hidden gem offers a quieter ambiance, along with great food at affordable prices.
Update: The Greenville location is sadly closed. However, the Simpsonville location offers the same wonderful menu.
Olympian Grill offers a huge menu of Greek and Italian favorites. First off, you will be brought out some hot house rolls served with delicious herbed butter on the side. As for the entrees, there are so many diverse choices. Even vegetarians like me can find something tasty.
The spanakopita is definitely the winner here. Perfectly made, very filling, and served alongside a side of your choice (the veg of the day is always delicious). I order this entree on every visit. They also serve some of the best pizza in the area, so why not treat yourself while in the vicinity? Lots of specialty options are available or you could simply go with a classic plain cheese (best choice in my opinion).
Other great menu items include a filling Greek salad, a hummus plate served with pita bread, various wraps and paninis, and a wide range of pasta and seafood dishes (try the Baked Spaghetti!).
Most entrees range in the $16-20 price range with seafood specialities a few bucks higher.
Service at Olympian is always great. This place has a nice friendly local vibe compared to the less personable, touristy restaurants lining Main Street.
The setting is nothing to write home about, simple, yet clean and well-maintained. If you are seeking a casual, non stuffy dining experience, Olympian should fit the bill.
Olympian Grill is a must try if you are craving good pizza or Greek food. The food is always consistently delicious, and you will definitely leave feeling like you received a great value. The homey ambiance and great service just add to the overall pleasant dining experience.
