What could be better than sipping your favorite coffee drink on a beautiful summer morning while looking out to a beautiful lake? Mozart's Coffee Roasters on Lake Austin provides a picture-perfect setting for your morning drink. You would be hard pressed to find a coffee shop in Texas offering such a fantastic combination of excellent drinks, fantastic outdoor seating, and even more amazing views. It's a great place to fuel up before a morning biking on the beautiful Ladybird trail.
Mozart's flame roasts their beans right on-site. The coffee is amazing, however, the views are even more amazing. On Mozart's menu, you will find the usual espresso, latte, cappuccino, mocha, and iced drinks. The bottomless coffee at $3.50 is a great value, especially since they usually offer an organic option. If you prefer less caffeine, you can opt for tea, hot cocoa, or fruit smoothies. My Americano was perfectly smooth with a wonderful rich flavor.
Food options include bagels, breakfast tacos, quiche, and a variety of pastries. They are also known for their desserts which includes options such as Carrot Cake, chocolate chip cannoli, hazelnut torte cake, and seasonal tarts and cheesecake. In the afternoon, they serve spinach and feta empanadas and potato and green pea samosas. Sounds delicious - I would like to try either of these out on my next visit.
Service was great despite the busy crowds. Staff was efficient at preparing the drinks as quickly as possible for the waiting crowds.
Although this place can get super busy, there is more than enough seating both indoors and out to accommodate everyone. We had no problem finding a seat outdoors on the beautiful waterfront deck. After visiting, you will quickly see why this place is so popular! The highlight at Mozart's, besides the wonderful drinks, is the magnificent setting. Sitting on the outdoor deck while you take in the beautiful hill and lake scenery is so relaxing and such a great way to start any morning. If I lived in Austin, I would make Mozart's my go to coffeehouse every weekend!
Usually purchasing coffee out feels like an overpriced experience. On the contrary, enjoying a coffee at Mozart's is a great experience. For the small price of a cup of coffee, you get to enjoy picturesque lake views and a relaxed setting that would be difficult to duplicate at home. Get out of the house and enjoy the fresh air and good vibes of the summer season!
The inside features an attractive European style design, however, it would be silly to pass up on that beautiful patio on a gorgeous day.
On a side note, there is live music every Thursday-Sunday. Also, free Wi-Fi is available. In addition, during the holidays they run a spectacular Christmas light show.
If you drink coffee, Mozart's is as good as it gets in Austin. How could you resist perfectly brewed espresso drinks accompanied by fantastic lake scenery? Mozart's has perfectly combined outstanding coffee and service with a one-of-a-kind setting. On my next visit, I am definitely treating myself to one of the delicious looking pastries or desserts to go along with my cup of joe.
