I love NY style pizza. Frankie's serves the best in the Greenville region. If you are craving authentic East coast pizza, Frankie's is really the only choice. Frankie's is a wonderful local family run restaurant. Everything is made fresh on-site.
Start with the garlic knots: they are the best in town! The pizza here is excellent, no problems whatsoever. Numerous specialty options are available, or you can simply customize toppings to your liking. The plain cheese is always the way to go in my opinion! Frankie's pizza has a perfect sauce/cheese ratio, unlike some local places which really skimp on the sauce!
Other menu items include Grinders, calzones, stromboli, burgers, steak sandwiches, and gyros. You will find all the standard apps like cheesesticks, breaded mushrooms, french fries, wings, and onion rings.
As for the past, the Baked Ziti here is wonderful with just the right amount of cheese and sauce for the best comfort dish around. I have a hard time choosing between the pizza and ziti. All pasta plates are served with a salad and garlic knots for $14-15 bucks, so a great deal. Other options on the menu include Homemade Lasagna, Eggplant Parmesan, Spaghetti and Meatballs, and Cheese Ravioli.
Service is great. The pizza and pasta plates were served in no time.
The dining space is extremely limited, as this is primarily a pick up pizza place. Regardless, there are a few seats available if you prefer dining out.
Be sure to check out this local gem if you happen to be craving authentic style NY pizza. This is definitely one of the top pizza places in the Upstate, and surely the most authentic East coast style pizza place.
