I love staying at La Quintas while taking roadrips because they always allow pets at no extra charge. It is so hard to find a hotel that will accept pets, especially cats! La Quinta is the best brand out of the 2 star hotels. This La Quinta in Paso Robles is an attractive, affordable options for those needing a budget hotel in the Paso Robles area. The amenities here are great for the small price tag.
This La Quinta looks newer and more maintained than most other locations. This location has a very nice elegant lobby with a gift shop that sells unique wine gifts and souvenirs. The weekly wine reception and pretty salt water pool are nice bonuses. The beautifully scenery surrounding the resort isn't too shabby either.
Amenities included a free breakfast each morning, an evening wine reception, a pool, spa, and fitness center, free newspapers, and free WiFi. Also, pets are allowed at no extra charge.
The free breakfast here is better than at most comparable hotels. In addition to the regular dry snacks, they also had hot eggs and potatoes. The breakfast area had plenty of seating and was nicely decorated.
We got to enjoy the evening wine and cheese pairing each night of our stay. They had 5 or 6 different wines to sample along with small snacks such as cheese, crackers, bread, and more. The nice thing was that you could try as many samples as you wanted. This was a great pre dinner happy hour. I believe it is only held Monday-Thursday evenings.
Every staff member was friendly including the front desk, the housekeepers, and the breakfast and wine reception staff. Staff members recommended a few local wineries and attractions for us to check out during our visit.
Rates will vary depending on whether you book a standard room or a suite. We had a gift card, so we didn't pay anything. I caught a glimpse of one of the standard rooms and they did not look very nice. I highly recommend going with the suite as it only costs about $30 more.
We got there expecting a regular room but we got upgraded to a suite. The suite was fabulous. There was a nice terrace overlooking the rolling vineyards-great for a cup of tea in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
The bathroom was huge and included a vanity and large Jacuzzi tub. Both the living room and bedroom both included a flat screen TV. The whole suite was very attractively designed.
I would definitely stay at the La Quinta Paso Robles again. The suite was amazing for a 2 star hotel. There were so many extra touches at this hotel like the free unlimited wine and cheese pairing, free internet, free expanded breakfast, and free pet stay. I definitely recommend considering this hotel for your next trip to Paso Robles.
