Blue Sky is a low-key cafe serving sandwiches, soups, wraps, and apps. The menu is basic with an abundance of healthy choices including numerous veggie loaded sandwiches and wraps. The colorful interior and affordable pricing, along with decent food, make dining here a pleasant alternative for anyone wanting to avoid the trendy restaurant scene in Asheville.
This cafe offers wraps, sandwiches, melts, burgers, and a small selection of appetizers. A few great selections include the Black Bean wrap, the Buffalo Chicken wrap, and the Mediterranean sandwich. Whole wheat, white, and rye bread, as well as a Kaiser roll and gluten-free bread available.
Each sandwich include a complementary side. The options are really fantastic and include choices such as black beans and rice, pesto penne, and cinnamon applesauce. And of course, they offer the standard fries which are really delicious (the best in the region for sure!). For a small upcharge, you can enjoy seasoned veggies with rice or a Greek salad (both worth the small fee).
Blue Sky is one of the better choices in the area for vegetarians as there are lots of choices here. From a hummus plate, to fresh veggie salads, to a Mediterranean salad, you will have no problem finding something a bit healthier. Pricing is a lot more affordable than what you find at the trendier Asheville establishments.
This is a counter service establishment where you order at the register and buss your own table. The little service provided is always friendly.
This cafe is low-key, with a local, family-friendly vibe. The dining space is small, yet cozy and colorfully decorated. Additionally, there is a small covered patio.
Blue Sky Cafe is the perfect dining choice for anyone seeking affordable, healthy cuisine in a casual, no-frills setting. You will not find many tourists here, however, the vibe is welcoming, the food good, and the ambiance perfect for a laid-back dining experience. A great choice if you are looking for something a bit quieter with more of a homestyle vibe.
