Myles Standish State Forest – Hiking in Southeast Massachusetts

Myles Standish State Forest is a state forest located in Southeastern Massachusetts, about 45 minutes south of Boston, in the towns of Plymouth and Carver. There are plenty of recreational opportunities available year round such as hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing. There are over 13 miles of hiking trails available.

I like hiking here for the beautiful views, well marked trails, and peaceful escape from the city.  I also like that it is only about a 15 minute drive from the Plymouth waterfront – home to Plymouth Rock, the Mayflower replica, and plenty of waterfront restaurants and shops. Take a look at some of the great pictures I snapped along one of the trails!

East Head Reservoir Trail (about 4.5 miles round-trip)
