The Pasta House

The Pasta House is an Italian restaurant in Southeastern Massachusetts, located in the town of Fairhaven. Mike and I both love Italian food. We were excited to try this restaurant after hearing only great feedback. You can tell walking in that this place is very popular as a Saturday night hotspot. The restaurant was very busy, however, we were still seated right away as the dining room is pretty large. The food here is pretty decent and the setting is quite attractive, making the Pasta House a nice choice for a date or night out with friends.

The menu is a bit small, but offers the usual Italian fare like pastas, specialty pastas, salads, and more. Several seafood dishes are also available. A very large drinks menu is available. One of the nicer aspects about The Pasta House is that they offer both whole grain and gluten free options to suit everyone's dietary needs. This is surprisingly often hard to find at an Italian restaurant. As you are browsing through the menu, you will be served hearty bread and olive oil for dipping. Entrees come with your choice of salad or soup. We both chose the salad, but were a bit dissapointed in the lack of vegetable variety. For my entree, I went with the Fettuccine Alfredo. It was pretty standard. Mike ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli and added chicken. We both agreed that his choice was better than mine! If I ever return to The Pasta House, I will likely go with one of the Ravioli dishes. This dish was amazing! Menu prices vary with the seafood options being the priciest. Our waitress was professional, quick, and knowledgeable. You could tell that the waiters were trying to give guests an upscale dining experience.

The Pasta House has an elegant classy look and feel. The interior is much nicer than other Italian restaurants in the area. The dining room is large, although seating could have been spaced out more to provide a more private atmosphere. The setting is lively, while still being refined. The restaurant has a modern, clean feeling. I like the huge stone fireplace, which makes the dining area feel cozier. The bar area looks very sharp as if it has been updated recently.

The Pasta House is a good choice for locals or anyone visiting Bristol County, Massachusetts. The professional service, elegant atmosphere, great menu selections, and nice presentation all make this local restaurant worth a visit.
