Steam is the best coffee shop in the St. Pete Beach area. This classy, modern shop is attached to a great restaurant called Chill. Stop by in the morning one day before heading out to your other activities. The setting is perfect for a cozy morning of delicious coffee!

Steam brews Kahwa coffee, a local roasting company in St. Petersburg. A variety of mocha, latte, and iced tea drinks are available. In addition, breakfast selections from Chill are available to compliment your drink. You will find almost anything on the menu, including plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options (they even have a gluten-free, vegan waffle!). I highly recommend the Vegan Hash, an amazing combo of potatoes, zucchini, onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach. Omelets, Eggs Benedict, and Crepes are just a few of the other items you will find on the menu. Those on a budget will appreciate the $5 dollar special, which includes 2 scrambled eggs, potatoes, and a breakfast treat. The coffee drinks can also be modified to fit your dietary preferences. Almond milk is offered as a dairy free alternative for the mocha drinks. Those following a gluten-free diet will be happy to know that the flavoring used for espresso drinks, Monin Dark Chocolate, contains no gluten.

The setting is sophisticated for a coffee shop, and features a dark design, more similar to an upscale bar. There are lots of comfy leather couches and chairs if you are looking to relax a bit. You can also sit at the bar. The barista makes some excellent drinks and even serves them with beautiful designs. Our mocha drink had a beautiful leaf design.
