With an enticing combination of beautiful red rock views from the patio and excellent espresso drinks, Java Love is one of your best bets for a relaxing delicious coffee break in Sedona. Despite the high pricing (one of the most expensive coffee shops I've come across in the region), the quality of drinks is unmatched in the area. If you can handle less than friendly service and a large upcharge, then go ahead and treat yourself to a perfectly brewed espresso drink, accompanied by a great view of the red rocks: a great way to start off your adventures in Sedona! As the Sedona area lacks many true coffee shops, Java Love is one of the few decent non-chain options in the area.

Java Love offers both light snacks and meals, as well as an extensive menu of drinks. The classic Americano and almond milk mocha were both fantastic: in fact, the best coffee drinks we have tasted in the Northern Arizona region. Both drinks were smooth, creamy, and delicious - the almond milk really makes a huge difference in the consistency of the drink. On the downside, pricing was astronomical ($9 for 2 drinks!). The extra $1 charge for the non-dairy milk was a bit ridiculous. The breakfast options (especially the quiche) looked tasty, however, we already had another restaurant lined up for the day, so we decided to still solely with the drinks. You will find plenty of tempting pastries and basic breakfast dishes (including gluten-free and vegan options) to start your day off on a healthy note. Also, the coffee beans they use are organic and fair trade.

The baristas seemed a bit impatient as we were scanning the menu; I guess they expect everyone to know their order in advance. They were not friendly in the slightest (the apathetic attitude was quite unattractive), we felt rushed, and the drinks too an incredibly long time despite the lack of any crowds.

The inside seating area is pretty spacious with lots of seating and an attractive general coffeeshop theme. More comfy couches would be a suggestion for the future. The outdoor patio is recommended on nice days due to the magnificent red rock views in the background. You can't beat a gorgeous day relaxing with a hot cup of coffee while enjoy Sedona's magnificent landscapes!

Overall, Java Love is one of the best choices for coffee in Sedona due to the pretty outdoor patio and fantastic drinks. Now, if only they could hire more passionate staff, show more respect towards tourists, and lower the prices a bit!
