Downtown Flagstaff

Downtown Flagstaff is the hub for dining, shopping, entertainment, and events in this small Northern Arizona city. After a day exploring the Grand Canyon or local hiking trails, you will most likely end up here.

Located just off historic Route 66, the downtown still retains a few historical treasures including the Monte Vista Hotel (built in 1926) and the Weatherford Hotel (built in 1900), both of which claim a spot on the National Register of Historic Places.

In stark contrast to the numerous chains populating almost every other section of town, the downtown region is the place to be if you prefer to keep it local. A diverse variety of local restaurants, cozy independent coffee shops, art galleries, shops, and numerous seasonal events, provide a little something to keep everyone interested.

A few of the best choices include Kickstand Cafe, Late for the Train, and Rendevous. Kickstand serves the most delicious specialty mochas in town, has several cozy couches, and is conveniently located on the way to Snowbowl.
