Rhode Island

Rhode Island packs in a lot of fun despite it's miniscule size. In "The Ocean State," you will find an abundance of places to enjoy the gorgeous coastal views. There are many opportunities for recreation throughout the state, from bike paths to beaches, to beautiful hikes. Take a look at the top 10 must-do activities while visiting Rhode Island.

1. Take a ride along the East Bay Bike Path

Take a ride along the East Bay Bike Path - Top Ten Travel List

This 14.5 mile paved bike path, which runs from Bristol to Providence, follows the route of an abandoned railroad. Along the way, you get a view of pretty much everything that makes Rhode Island one of the most gorgeous states in the country.

The ride seems too short as you take in incredible views of Narragansett Bay, forests, and salt water marshes. It feels more like a sightseeing journey than a workout! It also happens to be the best place to take in views of the Providence skyline.

This ride is, by far, one of the best ways to take in the beauty of the state. The only downside is that it is not accessible all year due to the brisk, snowy New England winters!
