Badamo's Pizza
Badamo's is your best bet for authentic New York style pizza in the Pittsburgh metro. There is no pizza place in the 'Burgh which comes close to Badamo in terms of serving high quality and tasty pizza at an affordable price point.
Food
Badamos serves red, white, and Sicilian pizza. Pizza is available by the slice or whole. A number of specialty pies are available. As toppings are quite overpriced, stick with the plain cheese which is both cheaper and more delicious. The pizza here is by far the tastiest in the city and the closest you will get to a NY style pie. Nice thin crusty, flavorful sauce and high quality cheese makes for an excellent pizza.
Other menu items include hoagies, garlic knots, and salads. The garlic knots are definitely worthy of the calorie splurge.
Service
This place can get really busy, especially on weekends and pretty much all the time during the nice summer months. Despite the traffic, service is friendly and the pies never take too long.
Atmosphere
This is more of a carry out establishment, although there is a tiny seating area. Not much ambiance to speak of, although if you are traveling quite a distance, limited seating is available. Come for the pizza, not the atmosphere. There are better Italian restaurants if you are seeking more of a formal sit down experience.
