Food

The food here is good, although not outstanding. The menu is simple and consists of a variety of sandwiches and salads. Surprisingly, there is a lack of vegetarian options. One of the few veggie items on the menu, the Yellow Submarine was decent enough.

This cold sandwich consists of the spread of the week, plus lettuce, onions, sprouts, tomatoes, olives, and yellow peppers, served with a pickle and side of your choice. Salads are served with a roll. Pricing is affordable (about 8-9 bucks), although portions are quite small.

Another decent choice is the Turkey pesto sandwich featuring provolone and swiss cheese, tomato, sprouts, onion, mustard, mayo, and a pesto spread on a Kaiser roll.

Build your own sandwich, salads, smoothies, chili, homemade soups, and a few desserts round out the menu.

Service

Service is okay, not the friendliest, but attentive enough.

Atmosphere

The ambiance here is very unique with the dining space resembling a treehouse more so than a restaurant. It's very woodsy and rustic inside. Note that there is a sort of strange hippie/New Age vibe and decor theme going on.

Final Remarks

Yellow Deli is one option for a "healthy-ish" lunch following a long day exploring Chattanooga's tourist attractions. The food is adequate enough to warrant a visit, although nothing to particularly write home about.
