This no-frills Cuban cafe is a great place to try after a long day at the beach. When you are tired and overheated and seeking a simple casual cafe to enjoy a quick bite, Bay 1 should do the trick.
Food
The menu is pretty simple here, consisting of sandwiches, empanadas, and ice cream from a local company in Sarasota. Sandwich options include their popular Cuban, plus pulled Pulled Pork, Rueben, Italian, Ham and Cheese, Turkey and Cheese, Turkey Club, and BLT. The sole vegetarian options are Peanut Butter and Jelly and Grilled Cheese.
The empanadas are really delicious. Try the Spinach, Artichoke, and Cheese if you are seeking something really savory and flavorful.
