This local Italian establishment is a wonderful casual lunch choice after visiting nearby beaches and attractions in St. Pete. The laid-back ambiance, casual service, and affordable menu make it the perfect low-key choice after a long tiresome day of fun-in-the-sun.
Food
Vito & Michael's serves your standard Italian food. More than a dozen specialty pizzas include choices like Eggplant Pie, Shrimp Scampi Pie, and Chicken Portofino. Both thick and thin crust pan pizza, as well as hand spun pizza, and a create your own option are available.
The best deal is the pasta lunch special. All of these entrees are affordably priced and include garlic bread and salad. The Eggplant and Chicken Parmesan dishes are beyond delicious, definitely the best in the region.
While the serving sizes are more than enough, it's hard to not be tempted by the delicious assortment of appetizers available including veggie antipasto, fried ravioli, and homemade mozzarella sticks.
Service
Servers are very friendly and attentive. This restaurant had the nicest waitstaff we have encountered anywhere near the beaches.
Atmosphere
The setting is extremely casual as this place is a more of a pick up establishment. There is plenty of seating although not much in the decor department. Nevertheless, the restaurant appears clean and well maintained.
Final Remarks
Overall, Vito and Michael's is the best Italian restaurant in St. Pete Beach, and one of the better casual Italian dining choices in the Tampa Bay metro area. Do try one of their delicious lunch specials, most notably, the incredible Eggplant Parmesan. You will not be dissapointed.
