Health food restaurants continue to pop up around the Tampa metro area. Harvest Bowl is a great choice for anyone seeking lots of gluten-free and vegan options. Rice and veggie based bowls, smoothies, juiced drinks, acia - this is the place to go if you want to keep it healthy. Also, I love the on-site market.
This fresh eatery offers a number of creative bowls or you can opt to customize your own. It's a pretty simple setup - you choose your protein, your base, your veggies, extra toppings, and sauce. They also offer a few brunch selections, acai bowls, and a number of tempting desserts.
Their Signature Nourish bowl is an excellent choice. This healthy protein and veggie packed bowl includes spiced lentils, roasted cauliflower and brussel sprouts, chickpeas, roasted sweet potatoes, red onions, lettuce, and homemade falafel. A very delicious and extremely filling choice. As a vegetarian of many years, I was impressed. It is quite hard to make all this stuff at home, so it's nice to enjoy a treat every now and then: at least you won't feel guilty for paying for unhealthy fried fast food!
This is an order at the counter establishment, however, the little service provided was great. The staff had no problem with minor substitutions.
The ambiance is extremely casual with limited seating. Although this is more of a pick up place, it's nice to take a break and relax.
Harvest Bowl is a great choice for vegetarians, those avoiding gluten and dairy, and anyone else seeking a healthy meal. With plenty of healthy veggies and ample protein choices, Harvest Bowl should please even the pickiest eaters.
