Via Veneto is a great family-owned Italian establishment in Norristown. While they are mostly known for their great pizza, the pasta dishes here are also excellent. If you find yourself traveling through the area, you may want to stop by for some authentic Italian deliciousness.
Via Veneto serves your basic lineup of Italian classics. They are most well-known for their delicious pizza. Their pizza consistently ranks as the best of Montgomery County. While cheese pizza is always the best way to go, they do offer quite the selection of specialty pies. From vegetarian, to meat lovers, to a Philly cheesesteak, they really do have an option for everyone. Also available are a selection of white pizzas, sicilian pizza, and tomato pie.
Calzones, hoagies, stromboli, pasta dishes, sandwiches, and cheesesteaks provide an alternative for anyone not craving pizza. Their cheesesteaks and hoagies are also a big hit, and fortunately, they serve both chicken and veggie options in addition to the regular.
If you are craving a great pasta dish, do try the Baked Ziti. This is a wonderful filling dish, not to mention a great value as well.
Entrees are affordably priced, ranging from just 10 to 15 bucks with the option to add a soup or side salad for just a dollar more.
As far as appetizers go, the broccoli bites and zucchini sticks are well worth the caloric splurge! So delicious!
Servers were nice. The food did not take very long despite a packed dining room.
This place is more of a take-out pizza place, however, they do have a small dining area. You will not find much decor here and the ambiance is a bit lacking. However, if you do feel like dining inside, the place does appear clean and well maintained.
Via Veneto is a great choice after exploring nearby attractions like Valley Forge. After working up a sweat, what better treat than a delicious pizza or heaping plate of pasta?
