The Boathouse has been a tourist favorite since opening in 1997. This is the place to go in the Isle of Palms region if you are seeking great seafood and a great view. Seafood and produce are sourced from primarily local sources. The restaurant focuses on a mix of family recipes plus a few modernized choices. Thus, the entree choices are pretty eclectic.

Brunch is the best time to plan your visit as you will notice a massive drop in traffic. Plenty of interesting choices on the menu at this time including various breakfast entrees, salads, Benedicts, sandwiches, and burgers, and of course, fried seafood plates.

From standard breakfast fare like an omelet, to a creative fish hash, to a veggie based Farmer's Casserole, to trendy Avocado Toast, there are plenty of options here for everyone.

One fantastic choice is the Boathouse Po'Boy, available with fried shrimp, chicken, or oysters. Very filling and a great value, especially with a side included (treat yourself to the delicious French fries or hush puppies).

Also, there are plenty of fun appetizers to enjoy along with your brunch plate. Try the Sweet Corn Hush Puppies or the southern style Pimento cheese served alongside pita bread.

Unfortunately, vegetarian and vegan selections are very limited.
