Soby's specializes in new Southern cuisine. This is one of the top restaurants in downtown Greenville. Soby's is particularly known for their extravagant Sunday Brunch buffet, which is definitely the best of Greenville.
You will want to check out Soby's fantastic Sunday brunch while you are in town. This is by far the best buffet in Greenville. The over-the-top lineup includes a made-to-order omelet bar, various breakfast and lunch sides, and a decadent dessert selection which includes a fondue station.
A few highlights from the buffet include toasted croissants, fresh salads, baked salmon, shrimp alfredo, and basically all the mini desserts. They always offer 3 hot entrees. The staff is nice enough to bring out a vegetarian version if you need it.
Brunch is served on Sundays from 10:00am-1:30pm. Pricing is $19 per person. A tad overpriced as any drinks or coffee is charged at any extra fee. Fortunately, the coffee here is delicious (and endless), so no need to go anywhere for your morning caffeine fix.
If you prefer to go out for dinner, you will get to treat yourself to a range of Southern specialities. The highlight here is Soby's complimentary cheddar style biscuits, brought out fresh at the start of your meal. A few entrees to try include the Southern Vegetable Plate and the Crispy Fried North Carolina Chicken.
Service is usually decent, however, waiters can be a bit slow on busier days. The place seems understaffed for Sunday brunch and their seating process is a bit unorganized. The hostess always appears frazzled and stressed out. Soby's could definitely use more waitstaff.
The ambiance at Soby's is classy and modern. The 2 floor layout means there is plenty of space. The brick walls give the interior a nice urban vibe. The outdoor patio is shady and relaxed, and thus, perfect for the milder seasons.
Soby's is a wonderful place for Sunday brunch. The plentiful buffet offerings, plus a gorgeous setting, make it the ideal place to enjoy a nice weekend meal in downtown Greenville.
