Reilly Craft Pizza and Drink
Reilly's is a great local wood-fired pizza place, housed in a beautiful historic building in downtown Tucson. If you are a fan of wood-fired pizza, you will definitely want to add Reilly's to your Tucson dining itinerary.
Food
Reilly's offers a small menu of specialty wood-fired pizzas, along with a few appetizers and salads. The menu is a bit small and could use a few more choices.
The best time to visit is during lunch to take advantage of the great deals. For just 12 bucks you get a 6 inch mini pizza and a salad. We tested out the marinara and the roasted crimini mushroom - both were fantastic.
Update: As of 2023, Reilly's only serves dinner. Hours are 5-9pm (10 on weekends, closed Monday).
Reilly's offers numerous creative artisan pizzas including a Yukon gold potato and pecorino, a Speck and Egg, and a vegan loaded with all sorts of veggies.
28 rotating tap beers and 8 tap wines make Reilly's a popular choice on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Service
Service was great - extremely friendly. Our lunch special came out in no time. If you are looking to avoid the crowds and noise, visit during lunch hours. This is also when you can score the best deals!
Atmosphere
The ambiance at Reilly's is very classy with elegant decor which includes several gorgeous chandeliers. The restaurant is located in a renovated historic building which still includes the original exposed brick walls, vaulted ceilings, and stained glass, thus maintaining some of the historic charm. The fusion of modern design elements and historical architecture is quite appealing.
Reservations are recommended, especially for evening visits as this place tends to get really busy.
Final Remarks
If you happen to be strolling around downtown Tucson, and seeking a sophisticated place for lunch, give Reilly's a try. The handcrafted pizzas, excellent service, and great atmosphere make this a winning choice for a lunch date. As an added bonus, Reillys is located within walking distance to many great Tucson attractions including the amazing Fox Theater.
