Le Buzz is a great little local European style cafe and coffee shop on the East side of Tucson. This is one of the few restaurants in town which actually serves great breakfast fare and coffee at the same location, so you can enjoy both without making separate stops.

Due to its' close proximity to Mt. Lemmon and Saguaro National Park, seating can fill up quickly on weekends with hikers and cyclists looking to fuel up prior to their adventures.

If you can get out here early enough and ensure a seat, Le Buzz is a nice relaxing place to enjoy a light breakfast and quality espresso before hitting the trails.

Food

Le Buzz offers a small menu of specialty quiches, paninis, and breakfast sandwiches, along with a tantalizing display of freshly made pastry treats. Le Buzz also offers a full espresso menu. The Americano and house coffee are always excellent, smooth with no bitter aftertaste.

They offer a number of quiches daily, always with a vegetarian choice on the menu which is great for those avoiding meat. The breakfast burritos, although quite small, are pretty tasty too.

If you crave something a bit sweeter, you are in luck as there are more than enough housemade treats to choose amongst including muffins, scones, and the most gigantic cinnamon rolls.

Le Buzz also offers a light lunch menu, consisting primarily of sandwiches and salads.

Service

Service is usually quite slow on busy weekends. It can take forever to order and even longer to get your food/drinks. The setup with ordering at the counter is a bit too hectic with the large crowds. Oftentimes, the staff forgets drinks, although they are quite friendly and do apologize for doing so.

The indoor seating area is much too noisy and cramped on weekend to enjoy a nice dining experience, although the outdoor patio is quite nice and shaded - a must for the hot Tucson summer season.

Atmosphere

Le Buzz is a counter service style restaurant where you wait in line and pick up a number. It can get very cramped on weekends and it can be quite a hassle to stand in line amongst the crowds (think Panera Bread). Le Buzz would be a nicer place if they offered waiter service. The dining room is a bit noisy with tables too closely packed together and a bit lacking in the decor department.

On the bright side, once you do order they have a beautiful outdoor patio where you can linger for a while over a fresh cup of coffee or expertly made espresso drink. Be sure to get here early as the patio fills up fast!

Final Remarks

Le Buzz is a decent breakfast choice for anyone heading out to Mt. Lemmon or Saguaro National Park as it is conveniently located on the same route. Delicious pastries, great Quiche (one of the few places in town which offers Quiche), and a nice patio, make Le Buzz the best stop on the way to any natural attraction on the East side of town.
