The garden cafe at the Tohono Chul Botanical Gardens in Tucson is a charming little place to enjoy breakfast. Whether or not you are visiting the gardens, dining at this quaint little cafe is the perfect way to start your morning in Tuscon. With lots of shade and plants surrounding you, it is one of the few places in town that can be visited year-round, even on those super hot, sunny summer days. The food is pretty delicious too and the service outstanding, thus making a visit all the more attractive.
Tohono Chul serves breakfast, lunch, and brunch on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Whether you are in a mood for a traditional American breakfast plate, a savory quiche, or a Southwestern specialty like a Chicken & Cheese stuffed Chille Relleno, you will find it all and more on the Tohono Chul menu.
We tried the Quiche of the Day (a delicious mushroom),the basic 2 plate breakfast, and the Original (poached eggs, hollondiase, and English Bread). All 3 were absolutely delicious and we would definitely order them again. They also have a great make your own omelet menu where you can customize your own ingredients.
Service was very good at the Garden Bistro, probably amongst the best we have received in the Tucson area. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and professional.
The ambiance at the Garden Bistro is amongst the best in Tucson. In a city where shade and trees are few and far between, you really cannot beat the garden setting here. Lush trees surround you in every direction and the sound of birds chirping as opposed to traffic noise fill the air. The leisurely laid-back vibe is perfect for anyone who prefers taking it easy on the weekends with a nice slow brunch as opposed to grabbing a quick drive-thru breakfast.
The Garden Bistro at Tohono Chul is one of the best values for brunch in Tucson. If you are looking for a beautiful, relaxed setting with lots of trees, you really cannot beat the ambiance here. Plus the food and service are not too shabby.
