If you are into the health scene, you know that kombucha is quickly becoming a popular health drink. This fermented tea beverage, which is loaded with probiotics, is known for its' many health benefits. Although you can buy various brands of kombucha in any health store, it's always fun to try something new. Plus, Fermented Tea Company offers a diverse selection of changing flavors which you would not find anywhere else.

Kombucha can be made from any type of tea. The process of fermentation turns the teas into a probiotic rich drink. The Chinese referred to kombucha as the "Immortal Health Elixir." Kombucha is typically made with a black or green tea base, sugar, and then fermented with a "symbiotic 'colony' of bacteria and yeast" (SCOBY).

Fermented Tea is a family-run business in which the family actually experienced the benefits of kombucha restorative health benefits themselves, and thus, decided to share the benefits of this healing product with the public.
They offer a number of flavors on tap, all of which use non GMO based sugar as flavoring. I recommend trying the Prickly Pear, a delicious tea made with a base of hibiscus and rose petals. The floral-like undertones give this tea a nice refreshing flavor which is just perfect for the hot summer season in Tucson.
If you can not make it into the shop, there are various locations around Tucson where it is sold including the Rillito Park Farmers Market, Whole Foods & Natural Grocers, and various other locales (check the full list on the website). Also if you order 12 bottles, they will deliver to your home or business.
They also serve Arbuckles coffee and offer a small selection of healthier treats.

Service was friendly and the employee encouraged us to sample any of the flavors.
Atmosphere
The interior is vibrant and colorful with a pretty Southwestern style theme. Love the bright green color and the cacti decorations.
Final Remarks
The Fermented Tea Company is a must try for any health fanatics. I recommend enjoying a glass at their actual shop as the setting is peaceful and rejuvenating. If you cannot make it out to Tucson, simply check them out on your next visit to the farmer's market.
