Cuppers is a cute little place to grab your morning drink in Prescott. Located in one of the city's many historic Victorian homes, it offers the perfect setting for a relaxing morning coffee break.

Cuppers is one of the best choices in town for anyone looking for a laid-back coffee shop experience. Cuppers offers a winning combo of quality espresso drinks, delicious food, and a nice shady outdoor seating area.

Food

Cuppers coffee is organic and locally roasted in Arizona. Their specialty espresso is a blend of several different beans and roasts and has won many awards for the smooth flavor. Our Americano and mocha drinks were very delicious, definitely the best drinks we have tasted thus far in the city.

If you are looking for basic drip coffee, the house coffee selections include a different light and dark roast each day.

A full menu of both hot and iced drinks are available. Cuppers offers the widest variety of mochas in the area - try the White Chocolate! For a real kick, try the Red Eye (espresso and brewed coffee). Alternatively, frozen coffee drinks are a great choice for a cool down during the hot summer season.

Even if you are not a coffee drinker, you will be pleased with the variety of non-coffee drinks available on the menu. Over a dozen loose leaf tea selections are available. In addition, Chai drinks (spiced green tea with milk), Arnold Palmers (lemonade and iced tea), hot chocolate, Italian sodas, and smoothies are just a handful of options to consider. The menu is extensive with selections for coffee lovers, those avoiding caffeine, an assortment of refreshing cold drinks when you need a cool down, and healthy fruit based selections for those looking for something a bit more nutritious.

In terms of food, baked treats are available in the morning and breakfast and lunch are served all day. The coffeecake muffin is pretty good, although a bit heavy on the sugar. Other sweet treats include lemon bars, banana bread, and scones.

If you are looking for something a bit more filling, the homemade quiche of the day is wonderful (by far the best I've tasted in the area). Other light breakfast selections include bagels and breakfast sandwiches.

Lunch includes an assortment of salads, sandwiches, and seasonal dishes.

Service

Service was one of the only downsides of our visit. We felt a bit rushed and the barista seemed quite impatient.

Atmosphere

Cuppers is located in an old Victorian home from the late 1800's. It's a refreshing change over grabbing a cup of coffee to-go at a bland chain like Starbucks. On nice days, sitting on the outdoor patio is a must for a totally relaxing experience. It's shady and cozy, and therefore, perfect for anyone who wants to hang out and relax for a bit as opposed to grabbing a cup for the road.

Final Remarks

After trying several coffee shops in North Central Arizona, I can say that Cuppers offers some of the best drinks and the nicest outdoor seating of the bunch, not to mention the most delicious veggie quiche. So, skip the standard chains in favor of a little local gem like Cuppers.
